Dzhubga is a small resort village on the Black Sea coast, located on the shore of Dzhubga Bay. Despite its small size, the village is quite crowded. This place is distinguished by large beaches, clean sea, mild climate and many unusual interesting places and a variety of resort entertainment. All this constantly attracts more and more vacationers here.

Leisure and entertainment

Dolphinarium “Nemo” in Dzhubga is open all year round. Here they show fascinating shows with dolphins and other marine animals, it is allowed to be photographed with them, conduct dolphin therapy and organize swimming with dolphins. In addition to dolphins, fur seals and sea lions participate in the performances.

Not far from the dolphinarium is the Oceanarium. In it you can get acquainted with a huge number of species of oceanic and marine fish. Here are corals and other underwater inhabitants, you can see penguins and even huge toothy sharks.

If you go a little further, you will find yourself in “Jurassic Park”. Here they tried to recreate everything to the maximum: both dinosaurs and tropical vegetation of that period. You will see figures of spinosaurs, tyrannosaurs and other dinosaurs that lived on Earth for a very long time – 150 million years ago. The park, located behind a high fence, is filled with the sound of nature, and with exhibits you can take pictures. They are not fenced and can be touched. At the same time, this is not a museum with exhibition halls, but in some way an amusement park, where visitors walk along stone-lined paths, along which they meet unusual ancient lizards.

It does not matter whether you are traveling with friends, family or by yourself, visit the water park “Dzhubga”. The area of the water park occupies 2 hectares, so it is the largest water and entertainment complex in the Tuapse area. Therefore, vacationers from all over the neighborhood and nearby resorts come here. On the territory there are 4 swimming pools in which you can swim and swim, “Lazy River” with a length of more than 500 meters, and more than 20 descents, slides and trails (“Multislide”, “Twister”, “Kamikaze”, etc.). Many of these attractions are rare, not found in other similar complexes. Each of the attractions is decorated very originally. For example, the descent of the “Cobra”, which is sure to appeal to extremals, is made in the form of a giant snake. The height of the descent is 17 m. You will descend on an inflatable boat along a huge pipe. The descent range, as well as its steepness will give you a unique feeling. And artificial waterfalls and rocks complement the created entourage. If you come here for the whole day, then there is an opportunity at any time to have lunch or a snack in the food court of the water park.

If you want to see other beaches of the resort, go to the central beach of the village of Dzhubga. The length of this beach is 800 meters, so it is not surprising that it has turned into a crowded place of rest. The beach is not just large, but also has a well-developed infrastructure. For maximum comfort of visitors, sun canopies, umbrellas and sunbeds are prepared here. Here they ride a banana, there is a rental of catamarans and scooters, inflatable slides have been installed next to the water. In addition, there are numerous cafes, small shops and souvenir shops. And every hour they are invited to visit a water excursion by boat. In addition to entertainment, here, of course, everything is thought out for your safety: good information of visitors is ensured, and a rescue service works. Due to the presence of sand, the bottom is suitable not only for adults but also for children.

Sights and excursions

Despite the fact that people go to this resort area mainly for a beach holiday, there are plenty of opportunities to visit excursions and museums.

On all territories of the Caucasus many ancient dolmens have been preserved. But it is in Dzhubga that you can see the largest of these ancient monuments located on the Black Sea coast. Dzhubga dolmen unusual oblong shape was built more than 5000 years ago. On its inner parts found unique drawings of ritual purpose. And carefully fitted to each other make up a whole three tiers.

There is a small private museum in Dzhubga founded by a local woodcarver. The museum presents a variety of wooden sculptures made from the roots and branches of trees. Anton Mikhailovich Gzhelyak, the author of one and a half thousand creations that are presented in the museum’s exposition, subtly feels the natural material and knows how to turn it into a fairy-tale creature with the help of tools. In addition, the master makes busts of famous people. The most unusual thing is that any of these exhibits can be touched and even picked up to get a better look.

The Black Sea coast is famous for its natural sites. Not far from Dzhubga along the stream Key there are as many as 9 waterfalls. The highest of them reaches 18 meters in height. Under one of the waterfalls there is a cave with real stalactites and stalagmites. To see all the waterfalls, you need to go on a hiking route, which will take almost the whole day.

Another local attraction is the Silver Falls. Cascade waterfalls got this name because of the characteristic brilliance of the water. To see them, you need to walk along wooden stairs.

Another amazing and rare phenomenon of nature is the Tenga waterfalls. Their uniqueness is that they are located parallel to each other, which happens in nature very rarely. Local residents tell a legend associated with their origin about two girls – Lolita and Leila. They were the daughters of a rich khan. He wanted to marry them to rich suitors, but the sisters fell in love with two simple poor young men. The girls ran away with their lovers from their father, who was against their unions. Fearing a chase, the sisters turned into waterfalls, and their chosen ones into grottoes. From grief, their father himself turned into an old dried up tree.

If you go in the direction of Arkhipo-Osipovka, you can see seven more waterfalls. The water in them is enriched with silver, bathing in such water is good for health. The water is clear and very clean, but quite cold. Swimming is safe, because at the foot of the waterfalls formed convenient for swimming natural reservoirs. The most famous of these waterfalls is called “Cord”.

Opposite the village of Dzhubga is Mount Hedgehog, so named because of its shape, which really resembles a hedgehog. This mountain is clearly visible from the central beach of the village. But we recommend not only to admire the mountain from afar, but also to climb to its top. The slopes of the mountain are covered with relict vegetation. Therefore, such a walk will be not only interesting, but also useful. The route is not difficult, and even a child can cope with the ascent to the mountain. From the top there are stunning views of the picturesque surroundings.

Lovers of wildlife, steep climbs and impregnable rocks can go on an excursion to the Guam Gorge and walk the route laid over the mountain river Kurgips. 400-meter cliffs hang over the gorge, and the route itself passes through relict forests. The length of the route is 5 km. The organizers of the excursions even used the old narrow-gauge railway. They restored part of the old track and launched a three-train on which tourists go on a trip. This gorge is also popular among climbers. Both beginners and professionals practice their skills here, and every year there are competitions in mountaineering.

Not far from Dzhubga is the village of Lermontovo. That is a tourist base, which offers horseback riding, mountaineering training classes, immersion in mud baths, paintball, shooting range and a visit to the “Living Corner”, where visitors are waiting for a bear, foxes, rabbits and raccoons. Also in the tea house there is a tasting of cheese, wine and local honey. And for lunch, dishes of Caucasian and Adyghe cuisine are offered. The day ends with a concert dinner.

You can take mud baths in Inal Bay. Tourists go there for medicinal purposes. The fact is that the shore of the bay consists of deposits of healing clay. Nowadays, a small pond was created right on the shore for taking baths. Blue clay is useful for human skin and internal organs. It is actively used to create cosmetics. And the bay was named in honor of the prince, who lived in these places in the 15th century and is considered the progenitor of local peoples.
