Sunrise Grand Select Crystal Bay Resort

The resort is located on a private beach and lagoon along the Red Sea. Hurghada International Airport is a 15-minute drive away, while Senzo Shopping Centre is a 15-minute walk away. Proximity to the highway means easy access to a range of attractions, including El Dahar Old Town and Hurghada city centre, which are a 25-minute drive away. The surrounding area is mostly filled with other resorts.

Sunrise Grand Select Crystal Bay Resort is beautifully manicured and surrounded by three-storey buildings, lush greenery and vibrant colours. A swimming pool for children and adults, daily entertainment and a wide range of facilities make this resort suitable for both families and couples. Despite the many features, the hotel remains quiet and peaceful.

Spacious rooms with modern interiors, white wood furniture, patterned bedding, wrought-iron accents and small old-fashioned artwork. Rooms have furnished outdoor spaces, and some have sea views or shared private pools. Standard amenities include air conditioning, a seating area, a mini fridge, a safe, bathrobes and slippers, as well as free Wi-Fi. The modern bathrooms combine beige tiles with blue, showers and separate bathtubs, as well as a hairdryer, magnifying mirror and toiletries.

The private beach and lagoon have cabanas with awnings and shady sun loungers. Albatros Palace Resort

Albatros Palace Resort enjoys a small secluded location away from Hurghada. However, it is located right on the beach, although guests should note that the beach right in front of the hotel is not suitable for swimming, as it is too shallow and rocky. The hotel has built a pier going further into the sea, from where guests can swim.

This huge beach resort includes everything families need for a fun and relaxing beach holiday. Sea views and Arabic architecture make this resort look like a palace. Arabic themes can be traced everywhere, and impressive décor reigns in the common areas. Guests are welcomed in a large open lobby with high patterned ceilings, arches, an extravagant central chandelier and comfortable sofas. The hotel grounds are huge: 621 guest rooms in a U-shaped building around a large outdoor pool located in the center. There are many outdoor dining and seating areas shaded by palm trees and umbrellas.

Rooms at Albatros Palace Resort feature Arabic-style décor. There are only three room options: Standard, Family and Suite. The décor of all rooms is the same: decorative lamps and mirrors, accent carpets, white bed linen with patterned stripes, dark curtains and works of art on the walls. All rooms have air conditioning, TV, minibar, electric kettle, desk, safe, telephone and free Wi-Fi, a furnished balcony with views of the resort or the sea, and suites have a spa bath on the balcony. For those who want to have fun all night long, there is a bar Le Pasha and a disco. All restaurants and bars, with the exception of the hookah in Afanden, are included in the all-inclusive rate.

The outdoor pool is very large, with a place for children’s bathing and water slides. It offers a medium-sized fitness centre with exercise equipment, and a spa with massage treatments, a sauna and a steam bath. The animation team entertains guests throughout the day with activities such as volleyball, belly dancing training, billiards games and evening entertainment shows suitable for all ages. There is also a dedicated kids’ club with a playground and organised activities.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, although guests complain of poor signaling in the rooms. Other facilities offered at the property include a games room, souvenir shops, concierge and ticket service, currency exchange and airport transfers at an additional cost.

 

 

 

Jaz Aquamarine Resort

Located just off the highway, the huge Jaz Aquamarine hotel is one of the many coastal sites on the Red Sea. Apart from a few shops and fast food restaurants, there is nothing remarkable in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Most guests do not leave the resort.

The standard and family rooms are spacious and clean, with updated furniture. White tile floors, simple wooden furniture and gray-blue colors of the walls create coziness. Some rooms have soft armchair sofas. The suites are decorated in lighter colours and have an additional separate living and sleeping areas. They are also equipped with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a small TV. All rooms have beautiful spacious balconies with views of the garden, pool or sea. Several family rooms have direct access to the pool. The bathrooms are simpler than the rooms, with marble sinks and large mirrors.

The facilities here are almost overwhelmingly extensive and family-oriented. Topaz and Four Corners restaurants offer themed buffets, four other restaurants offer Japanese, Middle Eastern, Italian and seafood-oriented menus. Three poolside snack bars and a food court on the beach serve light snacks. Al Ayam Café serves traditional shisha. In-room dining is available at an additional cost.

The resort has 18 impeccably manicured swimming pools, heated in winter. A private beach with hot tubs, camel rides and beach volleyball is another advantage. Water sports, windsurfing and tennis are available at an additional cost. The hotel has a gym and a spa at the neighbouring hotel. Children’s dance parties, live shows, as well as a recreation area for teenagers with PlayStation consoles increase the status of this hotel for a family holiday. The Fantasia disco offers nighttime activity, although its music can disturb the adjacent rooms, and drinks after midnight are additional.

 

 

 

Fort Arabesque Resort, Spa & Villas

One of the oldest hotels in the area, Fort Arabesque is decorated with Egyptian tapestries, arched windows, carved chairs and a massive copper chandelier giving the reception a majestic look. Simple gray sofas stand in front of a carved wooden bookcase, and large windows let in bright light. The hotel offers stunning views of Makadi Bay.

The standard and family rooms are spacious and clean. Standard rooms have balconies or terraces with beautiful sea views, and the terraces of the family rooms on the ground floor overlook the garden. The more spacious superior rooms and duplex suites with sea views are more modern, feature sleemer black furnishings, flat-screen TVs and large walk-in showers. Suites offer discounts at selected restaurants and spas.

The hotel occupies a beautiful coastal area near Hurghada, a resort town on the Red Sea coast of Egypt. It is located in Sahl Hashish, where several other resorts are located. Hurghada with its restaurants, cafes, markets and shops, as well as the Old Town of El Dahar are about a 40-minute drive to the north. Local attractions such as Makadi Bay Water World and Senzo Mall are around 20 minutes’ drive away. Hurghada International Airport and the port can be reached in about half an hour.

This upscale resort is located in a well-kept area with palm trees and flowering bushes, babbling fountains and chic recreation areas. An impressive entrance leads to the hotel’s spacious, elegant lobby, where the domed ceiling is framed by small arched windows, white columns rise from the sparkling cream tile floors, and the mezzanine-encircling balcony is decorated with lace decorative elements. The décor everywhere is chic and elegant, there are great places to relax outdoors. The hotel attracts both couples and families on holiday.

The rooms are clean and spacious. Wooden furniture is combined with a white and blue color scheme, including patterned curtains and armchairs, contrasting with white linens. Located on the shores of the Red Sea, Sunwing Waterworld Makadi is suitable for a family holiday on an all-inclusive basis. Decorated in a Berber style, this resort is a complex of sandstone buildings with crenellated towers, domes and arched windows. There are many large, giant water parks with slides, cozy recreation areas, restaurants and bars.

Guests here are mostly families with children attracted by the water park. However, the resort also has a lovely private beach offering a pleasant alternative to the pool.

The spacious rooms are decorated in a Moroccan style and feature furnished outdoor areas. The modern rooms are decorated in beige and sand tones and feature patterned lattices on the furniture.

One of the main features here, especially for families with children, is a large water park, around which the resort is built. There are several large outdoor pools on site, including an infinity pool and a children’s pool.

There is also a large and well-equipped fitness centre and several sports grounds, as well as several shops selling souvenirs and jewellery. The entertainment team offers a daily programme of activities and evening entertainment. Free Wi-Fi is available in some public areas, such as the lobby, but in-room use is subject to an additional fee.

Steigenberger Aqua Magic

Steigenberger Aqua Magic is a large, spacious, family-run resort with a lively atmosphere. It attracts mainly families and couples. Well-kept area with palm trees, an impressive facade with cream columns and marble floor is tiled. The spacious lobby, both imposing and homely, is decorated with a decorative dark wood décor that looks like a stencil. Along with the attractive, fairly wide beach, the countless pools are a major attraction.

725 bright, air-conditioned rooms with cream walls, neutral panels on the floor and large beds. Free-standing bedside tables made of dark wood, attractive armchairs with a gray-green pattern and large wardrobes. All rooms, except standard and superior, also have a decent-sized desk. Free minibars are replenished daily, but they lack alcohol.

The family suites and junior suites are complemented by simple, functional living rooms with two sofa beds. All entry-level standard rooms have attractive balconies with simple outdoor furniture and beautiful views of the pool.

The highlight of the Steigenberger Hotel is its swimming pools – there are nine in total, including adults-only rooftop pools, children’s pools, a lazy river and separate water parks for adults and children, complete with flames, slides and a ship-themed water deck. The pools and the beach have sun loungers and umbrellas.

The resort is open all inclusive, with nine restaurants and bars offering a mix of local and international buffets. Pool bars and other venues serve drinks, snacks and ice cream, and room service is available at an additional cost. Magic Sky Restaurant has a hookah bar, while Elements Nightclub offers free or discounted meals and is open until late.
