The village of Partenit is located 15 kilometers from Alushta. It began to develop as a resort only after the Second World War. Until the 60s of the last century, diorite was mined here, grapes and tobacco were grown. A marina was installed on the beach. The start of the resort infrastructure was given by the frunzensky sanatorium of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR built in 1962.
