Hotel Star Fish Varadero 3* (Cuba, Varadero)

For holidaymakers who prefer to spend their holidays in Cuba, there are quite positive impressions of Star Fish Varadero 3* hotel, located in Varadero near the airport. It is known that until recently the hotel had another name “Aguas Azules”, which means “blue waters”.

Location and infrastructure

Although this hotel is a three-star, the service here is quite good and it can even compete with a four-star hotel. The hotel is located not too far from the ocean and has only 411 rooms. It has a central building as well as two-storey bungalows with more attractive rooms and higher prices.

Externally, the hotel is very beautiful, with a monumental entrance. Its grounds are full of green plants, palm trees, and wonderful sculptures. Room assignment takes place at the reception, and check-in begins at a certain time – 16.00. Mostly Cubans who speak Spanish and English work here. The staff is very polite, attentive, taking care of the cleanliness and order of the rooms. So it is very comfortable here thanks to the good work of the staff.

Room stock

Two-storey bungalows are often designed for families or companies. They are much more comfortable as they have their own balconies, lawns and sun loungers. People are driven here in small cars when they check in.

The standard rooms at the hotel are not particularly fancy, but quite clean, spacious and bright. Of furniture in the rooms you can see a safe that opens with a magnetic card, air conditioning, beds, chair, small table, bedside table, mini fridge, comfortable bathroom with all hygiene products. A one and a half litre bottle of water is delivered to the room each day per person. The place is cleaned daily and towels are changed.

Entertainment and services

The central building is very beautiful, with huge panoramic windows. There is a bar where you can hear piano music in the evenings and enjoy a cocktail and a wonderful Cuban coffee.

On the third floor there is a sports bar and a billiards area.

Internet in the hotel is paid and not always available because there are some problems with the Internet in Cuba. There are restaurants, several swimming pools, theatre, souvenir shops, gym, tennis court. In the evenings there are often different shows, musical evenings, competitions for children and adults.

Vacationers often do not swim in the pools, because there is a very beautiful beach and the ocean coast nearby.

Food

In the restaurants there is food for every taste, you can have a hearty and tasty meal, the food here is quite diverse. The diet includes porridges, egg dishes, meat dishes, different cheeses, sausages, vegetables, exotic fruits, juices and much more.

In souvenir shops the range is quite extensive and holidaymakers are happy to buy souvenirs to remember.
