Modern resort hotel “Lotus” is located on the first coastline of the village of Utes, 6 meters from the beach. The owners guarantee the resorters comfortable accommodation at affordable prices, a variety of leisure, a high level of service. Location and history
The hotel was built in 2009. The place was chosen on the territory of the cottage village “Santa Barbara” next to the beautiful park area, previously owned by Princess Gagarina. The complex consists of 2 residential buildings. The seven-storey elevator is equipped with an elevator, in the six-storey elevator is not provided. In 2017, a complete reconstruction was carried out, but the lift was never installed. This should be taken into account when booking a room, especially for parents coming on holiday with young children, the elderly and wheelchairs.
The village is located between Alushta and Yalta. You can get there on the highway E105 (Yuzhnoberezhnoye highway), turning towards the sea according to the sign.
Pay attention! A shuttle service is available. A car park for those arriving by private transport is 100 metres away. The service is paid.
The distance to the center of Alushta is 12 km, to Yalta – 20 km. From the village regularly run buses and minibuses, you can get to the interesting settlement of the Southern coast of Crimea by boats and “Meteora”.
According to the hotel’s policy, it is not recommended to come here with pets. Pets will not be accepted under any pretext. Owners of four-legged friends should find another place to relax. But people who are allergic to wool, nothing threatens. It is impossible to call the living conditions completely hypoallergenic, but the rooms are clean, order is maintained, bed linen is changed in a timely manner.

- Suite (60 sq. m)- a comfortable two-room suite with its own terrace. In the spacious living room there is a sofa, a dining table, a large TV, a kitchenette. There is a large bed in the bedroom. On the terrace, in addition to summer furniture, there are soft sun loungers for sunbathing.

The main restaurant, headed by the chef, takes care of the catering of the hotel guests. Breakfast is already included in the price. It is served through a buffet system. At lunchtime, visitors are waiting for delicious offers from the Chef in the form of a business lunch. In the evening, the kitchen prepares an à la carte menu. Several of them have been developed, including the main European, children’s, fish, grill and vegetarian. Tables are set on the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea. There is also a bar counter.

Within walking distance there are three more restaurants that you should pay attention to if the kitchen of “Lotus” is tired. Catering in the Cliff is not as well developed as we would like. Therefore, you do not have to choose. The panoramic Santa Barbara Restaurant is 400 metres away. It is a favorite venue for weddings and corporate voters, but mere mortals can also get here. Guests are offered European, Black Sea and children’s menus, a cocktail list and a large selection of Crimean wines.
Cafe “Elephant” (900 m) is considered in the village number one among all catering establishments. It is located on the territory of the sanatorium “Cliff”. Here they prepare the best pizza on the coast, dishes on the coals, craft ice cream, and in addition, it offers the most beautiful view of the sea, mountains and park.
Restaurant of local cuisine “Oliva” (1 km) is located on the territory of the guest villa of the same name. The menu features Greek and Italian dishes. Even bread is served here in the form of ciabatta with salsa or green butter. There are also several types of pizza, pasta, a variety of barbecues, seafood, salads with original sauces. The cheese plate includes parmesan, brie, feta, dor-blue.
In the area of the village embankment opened several budget canteens. They are popular due to the large range of dishes at affordable prices. Usually they work from morning to 18-20.00, while people relax on the central beach.
Leisure and entertainment
Another advantage of the hotel is the regular entertainment programs. The organizers took care of the evening shows, children’s and adult animation. This is a good solution, as the rest in the Cliff is very different from other resort areas on the southern coast. It’s quiet and peaceful. The only noisy place is the village embankment. If there is a desire to diversify leisure, then people usually go to Alushta.
The cliff is a place where a large number of boathouses are built. Hotel “Lotus” offers walks on sea vessels, and a yacht or boat can be rented. Cars are also available for hire.
Among the interesting activities on the territory of the hotel complex, the “Practice of Attentiveness” is noted. There is no swimming pool in the hotel. By and large, it is not needed, since the beach is located on the territory of the complex. It is made in the Maltese style, i.e. fully concreted up to the entrance to the water. It is equipped with sun loungers, which guests use free of charge. Concrete recreation was usually settled in the area of the location of the slipways. They do not provide a shower, toilet, changing rooms. It is believed that guests will use these services in their rooms. There is also a phyto-bar.
There are many beaches in the Cliff, both open and closed. Among the sites available for visiting, the following sites are especially popular:
- cooperative beaches – small areas in the center of the village without special infrastructure and amenities, there are no stationary canopies on them, but a lot of water activities are offered;
