Comfortable hotel “Christie” offers a great holiday on the west coast of Crimea. The official classification of the service is 4 stars. High standards confirm the reviews of guests. Location and history
The village in which the hotel is located is located in interesting landscape conditions. There are no high mountains, as in the south of the peninsula. On the contrary, it is a wide boundless steppe. The height of the center of Popovka is only 5 meters above sea level. This means that smooth roads are laid everywhere, without descents and ascents, on which you can easily move with a stroller and small children. On the one hand, there is Lake Oyburskoye, on the other – Donuzlav.
In 2001, the area was chosen by the organizers of the rave festival“Republic of KaZantip”. Music and drive lovers gathered here until 2013, when the event was banned by the prosecutor’s office. Then for another two years, the organizers tried to return the festival under a different name, but the non-standard concept of its holding and a special philosophy made this impossible. Super-party in Popovka is no longer going. The infrastructure has been completely rebuilt for the needs of family recreation and sports leisure of young people. The Christie Hotel itself was built in 2013.
In 2018, the population of the village came out to a mass protest against the construction of a large shrimp farm on the shore of Lake Oybur. They wanted to defend the right of Popovka to be considered a seaside resort, and not a zone of industrial food production. They were supported by Natalia Poklonskaya, at that time a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Construction was discontinued. The village continued to develop as a resort.
The distance to the nearest major administrative center – Evpatoria – is 52 km by highway. Popovka is a quiet corner of the Black Sea coast, with wide sandy beaches, warm sea, suitable in depth for safe bathing of children. Getting here by public transport is problematic. You need to make a transfer in Evpatoria to get to the village of Mirny, which is located one and a half kilometers from the hotel. Then, in any case, you will have to take a taxi. Therefore, it is best to immediately order a transfer at the hotel. The accommodation is 99 km from Simferopol. The driver will deliver guests quickly, without stopping at other settlements.

The hotel is open seasonally. Guests are welcome from 1 June to 25 September. 54 comfortable rooms have been prepared for their accommodation. The building is four-storey without elevator. Each room has a spacious balcony, which makes staying here even more pleasant. The price includes meals (selected package), animation, use of beach infrastructure. - Suite (from 40 sq. m) – triple two-room suite, the rooms are separated by a door or arch, each has access to a private balcony, both are furnished. It offers views of the lake. The room has a work desk, the bathroom offers an expanded set of bath accessories and cosmetics.
- Suite «Christie» (60 sq. m) – a quadruple three-room suite with the possibility of installing two more beds. Of the two rooms there are exits to two furnished balconies overlooking the sea. In addition to the shower cabin, the bathroom has a jacuzzi. In the living room there is a beautiful mahogany dining furniture, soft leather sofa and armchairs.
On the ground floor of the building there is a small market where you can buy the necessary goods for recreation and food.
Meals and restaurants
The hotel has a main lounge with a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a summer café on the terrace and an a la carte restaurant. Guests are offered three meal options:
