The village of Storm in the Saki district is only developing as a resort area. Nature itself has created good conditions for summer recreation and recovery of the body. The beach line stretches for 6 km from Popovka to Vitino. The coastal strip up to 80 m wide is covered with snow-white sand. The village is surrounded by three lakes – Adzhibaichik (a unique deposit of brine), Oyburskoye, containing blue therapeutic mud, a small lake without a name with an area of 10 km. m with a high content of black therapeutic mud. In most cases, Storm is chosen for a family holiday because of low prices. Compared to other Crimean resort areas, here you can live, eat and have fun at relatively budget rates.
Which hotel to stay in?
Despite the fact that Storm is considered a place of rest of economy class, it offers good conditions for parents with children. The first coastline is actively being built, but it is possible to accommodate on the second, third and even fifth line from the sea. There are no mountains, so you can safely go to the beach with a stroller and a small child, without fear that somewhere waiting for multi-stage stairs or steep descents. In the village has not yet built sanatoriums with treatment. But there are hotels that deserve special attention.
Cottage “LEO”
The three-storey modern building was built recently. The spacious rooms feature panoramic windows, air conditioning and a balcony. Each has its own bathroom with shower. In front of each entrance there is a summer terrace with furniture. Breakfast is included in the price. Set lunches and dinners are available. To accommodate families, triple, quadruple rooms and two-room suites are offered. In the yard there is a children’s playground with swings, a slide and a ladder. Flowers are planted in the yard, paths are laid out. The territory is fenced. For a fee, the owners can invite a children’s animator, and with the organization of excursions help absolutely free of charge. A shuttle service can be arranged at the hotel. Guests arriving on their own receive free parking. The sea is only 300 meters away or a 3-minute walk away.
“Nice modern hotel where you want to go back. I liked the approach of the owner to the organization of rest with children. A platform has been built for them. Games can be watched from the spacious balcony. In the building itself there is a dining room. In the morning, everyone is fed breakfast, and then you can eat, choosing your own dishes. But after breakfast we went to the sea and returned only in the evening. The road leads through a small market where you can buy fruit to eat on the beach. We went to Crab Beach. Hotel “Sunny Crimea”
The complex consists of two three-storey buildings for 162 seats. It is located in a closed area 400 meters from the sandy beaches. Oysbursky Mud Lake is 200 metres away. All rooms are equipped with the reception of families with children. In one-room Standards can accommodate 3 people, two-room comfort is designed for 4 beds. An extra bed can be installed everywhere. In the rental there are cribs-arenas for kids. All rooms have balconies and bathrooms. The hotel has a café, breakfast is included in the price. The building is equipped with:

- outdoor terrace with parasols and sun loungers;

Tennis and billiards tables are also available. Car owners are provided with a place in a closed parking lot. In the period from autumn 2019 to [y], the owners carried out repairs and reconstruction of the hotel. But, judging by the reviews of 2019, there are good conditions for living with children, though with some reservations:
“There is absolutely nothing to do in the village. So we came here to swim in the clear sea, sunbathe, sleep in peace and tranquility. Rooms in the “Sunny Crimea” are not very large. If you install another bed, you will not turn around. Personally, I didn’t have enough microwaves and a kettle in the room. Hotel “Na Limanne 25”
Two-storey private house with a cozy green courtyard is located 700 meters from the sea. Rooms with amenities are located on the ground floor. Each of them has a separate entrance and a small area of terrace with garden furniture. On the second floor of the hotel there are rooms without amenities (toilet and shower shared on the street). An external staircase leads to them. No meals are provided. The hostess offers to prepare her own meals in the shared kitchen. Parking is free. For an additional fee, you can rent a bicycle, get help with organizing excursions and wash things.
“Very good facilities for an economy class hotel. To the sea 7-10 minutes walk. The room is his own master. Near the shop, pharmacy. In such hotels it is nice to come “savage”. The conditions are quite suitable for living with children. A rocker is installed in the yard, but after beach entertainment, the child will be enough to feed and put to bed. Recreation center for 5 rooms
A small eco-hotel “Rus” is still under construction, but already offers 5 comfortable rooms for living and recreation 300 meters from the sea. Residential buildings are wooden one-storey cottages with verandas. Interior decoration is made of environmentally friendly materials (wood, stone, glass, textiles). The rooms are spacious, they breathe well, accommodation in them is suitable for people suffering from allergies. Each room consists of two rooms, one bathroom, the cottage is designed to accommodate 5-6 people. Electric boilers are installed to heat the water. A children’s playground is available on site. In the morning, a buffet breakfast is served. Parking, animator and assistance in organizing excursions are included in the free list of services.
“For large families or a group of friends, such hotels are just a find. You live separately from others, there is a private terrace where you can drink coffee. The house has a dining table, kettle, small refrigerator. Rooms are separate, not passable. The territory is not yet very landscaped. Guest House “Margarita”
The hotel is designed for families with children. They offer 3, 4 and 5 bed rooms with private facilities. In the yard there is a small outdoor pool, there is parking, a mangal area is equipped, there is a playground for children. Home-cooked meals are served in the dining room. Breakfast is included in the price. Lunch and dinner are not yet provided, you can cook yourself in the shared kitchen. No shuttle service is available. Tour guide services and parking are included in the free service.
“Good living conditions for families and relatively inexpensive. Nearby there is a mud lake, the sea is far away, but you can get there by car. Parking near the beach is still free (I don’t know what will happen next year). If you walk, the road will pass by cheburechnaya (I recommend to look). The modern hotel is built on the first coastline. For family accommodation we offer two-room quadruple rooms of Standard category and 3-bed wooden cottage. One-room houses, Russian analogues of bungalows, are located 10 meters from the water’s edge. The location of the hotel for a beach holiday is considered one of the best options in Storm. At guests’ disposal;
- delivery of food and drinks to the rooms (room service);
- wood-dried sauna;
- beach area with wooden paths.
The restaurant takes care of the food of the guests. The menu is based on dishes of European and Black Sea cuisine. The price includes two meals a day. For younger guests there is a children’s menu. Parking is available for car owners, and a shuttle service to/from Simferopol Airport is available for other guests.
“We chose this hotel only because of its location. It is very nice to leave the house and immediately find yourself on the beach. Despite the fact that the cottages are not large in area, it is better to book this option of accommodation. The rooms in the boarding house are even worse. Cozy two-storey hotel is located in a closed area 300 meters from the sea. There are only 14 roomsin the fund, most of which are intended for family accommodation. It is convenient that each room has its own entrance from the street (an external staircase leads to the second floor), its own terrace with furniture. Guests can prepare meals in the shared kitchen. It has a lot of space, there is all the necessary equipment, dishes. You can eat in the nearby dining room or in your room.
“First, we rested in Storm, then moved to Evpatoria. The children liked the guest house much more than the comfortable hotel. In “Swallow” they felt like in the country. We didn’t worry about them. The mini-hotel is located half a kilometer from the nearest beach and in its structure claims to be the most fashionable hotel in Storm. It offers rooms with chic interiors and panoramic windows, a view terrace on the roof of the building, two-room and duplex rooms for families with children, a complex of 3 meals a day. Guests can prepare their own meals in the shared kitchen. In a cozy yard there are all conditions for rest of guests:
- shady gazebos and benches;
- garden with fruit trees;
- children’s playground with animator services.
In the evenings, dances, themed gatherings are organized, refreshing drinks are served in the bar and lounge music is played.
“For such good conditions, the price is more than acceptable. The atmosphere is friendly, everything is thought out for a good rest and sleep. The building is modern, a lot of glass. Where to go with children in the village of Storm?
The main activities for children are on the beaches. They are conditionally divided among themselves and have names. The exit to the Central Beach is located on the village promenade. This is the most crowded place. There is always music, a lot of cafes work, discos on the sand are arranged in the evenings. Modest landscaping: changing rooms, toilets, rental offices, shower. From entertainment – riding on bananas / tablets, catamarans, playgrounds, beach volleyball. The entrance to the water is gentle, during high tides the water is turbid.
The second most popular beach is located at the boarding house “Del Mar”. Although the territory is assigned to the institution, outsiders are not forbidden to enter here. This is a little frustrating for the guests, but it suits the owners of the hotel. It’s also a pretty noisy but very clean object. Employees monitor the cleanliness of the sand and the coastal bottom. Other areas are landscaped a little worse, on wild beaches the infrastructure is completely absent.
If you choose between the proposed hotels, you can pay attention to the guest house “Lyudmila”. It is more modern and comfortable. Although any of these options is quite suitable for living with children during the summer holidays.
