The Novosibirsk region is located in Western Siberia and is one of the most underrated regions of the Russian Federation. The distance from the center has led to the insufficient development of the huge industrial potential. And, nevertheless, Novosibirsk residents are coping, and have been living for the last 20 years without too pronounced crises.
But the gods and geological evolution did not deprive this land of natural beauty. In winter, it’s as good as it can be on this planet. Dark coniferous and decidive taiga, rock ridges, the eve of the Altai Mountains, natural and artificial reservoirs, ice-free springs – probably, the New Year should be celebrated in such places.
Near Novosibirsk rest near the grandiose sights:
- on the unique Salair Ridge;
- along the coast of the Berd River;
- on the Ob reservoir, which, due to its size and the titanic rest it radiates, is called the sea.
Here you can walk, climb mountains, study the subglacial bite. Local ski resorts (Yurmanka, Fir Ridge) are popular, where you can meet the onset of the new year by joining the general show program.
But certainly not only. Novosibirsk residents, like any citizens, like to go on vacation not too far from the countryside, just to be nearby “some trees and some water”. This gives rise to a whole class of nearby tourist centers of a wild type, where cheerful opposite-sex companies gather in saunas and play chess under vodka.
When choosing a camp site for the New Year, first of all, it is necessary to take into account the moment with neighbors in the building or houses. And, perhaps, the option, which is away from the city and closer to nature, will be the most civilized.
Green House Country Club
Just two hours by car from Novosibirsk, and the traveler eager to relax ecologically meet the foothills of altai: the Salair ridge is taiga, springs and a lot of clean air. An outdoor swimming pool is open in summer. In all seasons, a Russian bath with brooms and a Finnish sauna are available for an additional fee. Also, the administration of the camp site will help to organize seasonal hunting or fishing, extreme riding on jeeps, mautin bikes and QUAD bikes.
A decent road leads to the tourist center “Green House”, on its territory there is a guarded parking lot with video surveillance.
Guest complex “Zarechye”
On the protected territory of the banks of the right tributary of the Ob, but at the same time only 5 kilometers from the second largest city of the Novosibirsk region, there is an excellent and quite affordable guest complex “Zarechye”. This is a great place for a family holiday, besides it is convenient to celebrate personal holidays. “Pine Forest” is a civilized and orderly rest in nature for those who do not like the wild landscape, but still do not mind breathing fresh air.

On the shore of the Ob reservoir in a young pine forest there is a small but surprisingly pleasant hotel “Morozovo”. It’s a great place to celebrate the New Year as a couple or with children: silence, clean comfortable rooms,friendly staff – what else do you need for happiness?
Maybe just delicious food, and unfortunately, not all is well with it. The standard guesthouse includes breakfast and, judging by the reviews, they are not very impressive. The on-site restaurant serves European and Russian cuisine.
Especially for the New Year, the administration organizes a festive banquet in the main hall (also called the dining room) with shifted tables and a show program. In 2021, the menu disappointed many guests, however, as well as the performances of the artists.
Not too capricious guests, of course, will choose something to their liking from the services of the hotel. Since it is positioned as a resort, its main feature is the spa:
- wellness programs for any need (there is an option “all included”);
- thematic tours with a specialized program (for relaxation, immunity, retreat);
- “beauty day”;
- many types of massage;
- baths, dry and phytosaunas;
- cosmetic procedures.

Park-hotel “Shishka”

The hotel does not shine with special additional entertainment. In the recreational area on the shore of the Ob Sea near Berdsk is a small hotel complex “Pier on Morskoe”. Paying tribute to the name, the owners decorated the territory and living rooms with elements of marine attributes. It is pleasant to breathe here, and beautiful views of the reservoir will be imprinted in the memory of even the most rational person for a long time.
The basis of the number of rooms is clean and beautiful wooden Finnish houses with a veranda, a sauna and a separate area for a barbecue. They are warm, bright and a minimum of furniture, no clutter. Here you can celebrate the New Year, as you want, bring with you everything from a Christmas tree to a full banquet. However, for those who want to cut salads in each cottage there is its own kitchen with the necessary utensils, appliances and utensils.
For a noisy corporate holiday, the hotel has a gazebo that can accommodate up to 50 people. The most daring people can swim in the outdoor pool for adults to the beat of the chimes. In summer, there are three additional small swimming pools for children.

Not far from Yumanka (three minutes walk to the ski lifts), so guests of the complex often orient themselves to spend time also on the slopes – near the slopes, the administration sells ski passes and rents ski equipment.
On the territory there is a large sauna, a heated font in the open air and a club house, which perfectly accommodates 25 people. Some Novosibirsk companies traditionally hold corporate events here.
In order for the rest, especially in the hot New Year’s time, to succeed, it is advisable to book a house in advance (at least two to three weeks). It is better to bring food and everything you need with you, it will not be possible to buy more on the spot: the nearest stores are a few kilometers away, and the choice there is not very good. Some guests recommend taking drinking water (this is especially important for children, the elderly, pregnant women), since local water can not always be trusted.
Krona Hotel & Spa

Borviha Hotel &spa
A classic post-Soviet hotel with a claim to luxury and prices significantly higher than the average for the region is Borvikha, which is located four kilometers from Berdsk on the bay. However, it is not so bad, and for this mainly responsible chic pines, a sandy shore and a large hotel area.
In “Borviha” there are two buildings, both designed in the style, which here is called European. According to reviews, the furniture in the rooms requires repair (for example, sofa books are desperately creaking), plumbing leaks, handles on furniture and interior doors do not work well. Sometimes it is the cleaning and education of administrators that fails.
For the New Year and subsequent holidays in the hotel there is a package offer.
The offer includes:
- Twin room;
- 3-time buffet;
- aqua center;
- New Year’s entertainment (walks, watching fireworks on the street).
Banquet on New Year’s Eve, participation in the show program and children’s programs must be paid separately.
Recreation center LesNitsa
35 kilometers from Novosibirsk there is a small village of Novy: it is here, among birches and rare pines, 300 meters from the Berd River, that a recreation complex is located – an economy-class tourist center LesNitsa. Thanks to affordable prices (renting a house will cost from 3500 rubles on weekdays to 6500 on holidays), there is always a lot of diverse public. For holidays with family and children, some categories of regular customers of the camp site can become a problem.
15 separate modest houses with the minimum necessary for life (shower, toilet, heating, bed with bed linen, kitchen area) are divided into two types – 6- and 4-bedded. The property recommends bringing utensils, towels and anything else you may need.
On New Year’s Eve there are special, festive tariffs:
- a house for up to 4 people;

In the vicinity of Novosibirsk there are many places where you can celebrate the New Year – both alone, joining the celebration program, and together with family and friends according to an individual plan. The best options, of course, require advance booking (for example, Mount U Dacha), but there are good places for those who have just been released or unexpectedly got on a business trip (an excellent choice is “Sosnovy Bor” in Novosibirsk itself).
If there is a desire to celebrate the New Year in the style of “Irony of Fate”, then the choice of tourist centers is huge: saunas and baths are an obligatory service for most hotel complexes. However, you need to understand the specifics of such institutions and be aware of who and in what condition makes up the main contingent of customers. In order not to spoil the holiday, you can focus on autonomous cottages equipped with mini-saunas and kitchens (for example, the “Pier on Morskoy” is very praised).
