Gurzuf is a small village located 12 kilometers from Yalta, in the Crimea. It is located on the very shore of the Black Sea.
Gurzuf originated in the 6th century and was originally a defensive fortress. Now this village has become a famous resort place. One of the reasons for the popularity is the long-distance children’s center (formerly pioneer camp) “Artek”, which is located on the territory of Gurzuf. Visit the village, of course, not only children, so than to have fun will find and adults.
Tourists note that they return to this resort because of the clean air enriched with pine esters and sea salt, as well as because of the many well-groomed beaches with pebbles. The atmosphere of the resort is different from other places of the Crimean Peninsula. Narrow avenues and special architecture resemble the cities of Europe. And a lot of shops and places where you can eat remind that this is still Russia. And the difference between Gurzuf is a large number of parks.
People of any age will easily find something to do at leisure. For example, young people in the evening can have fun and relax in numerous nightclubs or in a small disco bar. And in the afternoon, for lovers of extreme recreation, diving centers and numerous entertainment on the water are available.
In general, the village of Gurzuf is suitable for family holidays and for romantic. Parents with children, teenagers, young people and adult tourists will not get bored here. And although in terms of history and attractions, this resort does not reach other places, there is still something to see. First of all, these are the Livadia Palace, Ai-Petri, Massandra Winery and the Nikitinsky Botanical Garden. Each of these places can be reached independently or book a tour at the hotel.
Shopping in the village of Gurzuf is not particularly developed, so it is better to purchase the most necessary things in advance. Here you can buy something in local shops or tourist shops, which are located on the waterfront.
Pearl of Crimea, complex “Pushkino” VIP
The complex “Pushkino” is located in the center of the tourist village of Gurzuf on the first coastline in the subtropical park. Here, on the territory of the park, is the Gurzuf Pushkin Museum. The exhibits of the museum are located in a two-story stone palace built in 1808. In the city of Gurzuf, Alexander Sergeevich wrote several of his most famous poems and fruitfully worked on the story “The Prisoner of the Caucasus”.

Rested last summer in this hotel and was very satisfied. I couldn’t even believe that I was somewhere in Russia. The staff is very nice, they know the name of all visitors, every question is answered very quickly. This is a great option for those who want to relax and unwind.
Apart-hotel “Residence Altea”
Like many other hotels, “Residence Altea” is located near the Crimean coast. The rooms of the complex offer a breathtaking view of Mount Ayu Dag, Adallara Rocks and Yalta.
For guests of the resort there are two modern buildings:

A golf cart runs between the buildings (shuttle is free).

We come to Gurzuf with the whole family not for the first time and we already know almost all the hotels. “Sea breeze” we liked, obviously not the worst of all, and in some ways even better than many. First of all, I was pleased that the sea is very close. The water is clear, everywhere you can see the bottom. For convenience, there are sun loungers and gazebos, but we also had enough towels. I also liked the food. It is on schedule, but you can agree and cover a little later or earlier. It saved when we went on excursions. In general, I liked the Hotel, I advise.
Muscatel Boutique Hotel
From the windows of the hotel “Muscatel” offers a fascinating view of the old Gurzuf, the reserve “Monte Balgatura”, the sea and the main Crimean ridge. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Gurzuf, away from the hustle and bustle. At the same time, thanks to the location of the hotel, you can at any time plunge into the festive atmosphere of the Gurzuf evening.
For guests of the hotel there are comfortable rooms equipped with everything necessary for rest in one of the most peaceful and picturesque places.

This is the most peaceful hotel for relaxation. Sometimes we didn’t even go to the sea. Instead, we walked around the Muscatel grounds and enjoyed it. We started and ended our day always on the veranda of the restaurant. It’s a stunning sunset and sunrise. And when we wanted to start actively, we went to the sauna. My wife and I are waiting for next summer to repeat the visit.
Hotel complex «Vesely Khotey»
Hotels in Gurzuf, for the most part, tend to Europe. This is expressed not only in the level of service, but also in the interior and design of buildings. Hotel “Vesely Khotey” is an exception. Its appearance tried to bring as close as possible to the traditions of the East, or rather, to the Chinese traditions.
The hotel complex is located 100 meters from the promenade and is surrounded by centuries-old cypresses, cedars and pines. Many rooms offer views of the sea and Mount Ayu-Dag.
Despite the fact that this is a private hotel, the quality of service remains at a high level. People come here for home comfort, helpful staff and affordable prices. And the location of the hotel “Vesely Khotey”, comfortable rooms with all the necessary furniture and appliances attract even more tourists every year.
On the territory of the hotel complex are open:

Hotel “Villa Balgatura” is built near the mountain of the same name, near the sea coast. The architecture of the buildings on the territory of the hotel resembles the Mediterranean style and buildings of London. Guests note that it is easy to breathe and you can relax.
The rooms are located on one of the four levels and each has one to four bedrooms. The harmony of the apartments is emphasized by exclusive furniture and fabrics. Large terraces and balconies with views allow you to enjoy the beautiful sea and mountain landscape (Bear Mountain, Adalyr Rocks, Gazebo of the Winds, Gurzuf Bay). The apartments at Villa Balgatura are ideal for large families and friendly companies.

I want to thank all the staff. I loved this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, equipped with everything you need, the views from the terraces and balconies are incredibly stunning. There are practically no cons. There are also no problems with food, the choice among the nearest restaurants is huge. Everything was very nice, I will definitely come back.
All these hotels are unique and wonderful in their own way. That is why every tourist should independently choose a hotel for their requests.
