St. Moritz hotels in the ski resort switzerland

The small Swiss town of St. Moritz became one of the first ski resorts in the country. Hotels began to be built here since the middle of the 19th century, when the Alps were just positioned as the best place for leisure. The ski area is visually divided into 3 parts:

  • Corviglia is a place for experienced skiers who will appreciate the height (2486 m), the width of the slopes and the picturesque landscape;
  • Kovacs – characterized by the longest tracks. It can be reached by ski buses, the stops of which are located in the city near the hotels;
  • Diabolezza – half an hour drive from the city, poorly equipped trails, a paradise for fans of extreme sports.

Hotels in St. Moritz are located near the ski lifts. Numerous slopes of the resort are served by 60 different lifts.

Historical sights of the city

If there is history, then there are significant places that need to be visited. In St. Moritz, these are:

  • observation deck on Mount Muottas Mural;
  • Mount Diabolezza, from which the world’s longest descent with a length of 3000 meters begins;
  • the summit of Piz Noir;
  • Nietzsche Museum;
  • The Segnotini Museum;
  • Olympic bobsleigh track.

There are many architectural monuments in the city. Some of the old buildings have hotels. St. Moritz has its own falling 33-meter tower, built in the 16th century.
