Located at the foot of Mount Green, the village of Sheregesh became the center of skiing in the early 80s of the last century, when the winter Spartakiad was held here. Nowadays it is a modern resort with a developed infrastructure and a large variety of entertainment. Trails here are located on the slopes of the mountains, and hotels – at their foot. One of them is the Park Hotel“Gorny”– a cozy space, ideal for outdoor activities.
Location and infrastructure
You can get to the four-train hotel on your own by car or by electric train “Sheregesh-express”. The train follows the route from Novokuznetsk to the village of Chugunash, which allows you to get to the resort from all nearby settlements.
The hotel itself is located on the Sky Way. On its territory there are several two-storey chalets and a residential building with separate rooms. The hotel has its own café, two bath complexes and warm parking. The hotel also has an outdoor terrace and a garden.
Alexander: Loved the hotel. There is a restaurant, karaoke, children’s room, cinema and even a climbing wall. I especially liked the soundproofing of the rooms. My room was near the restaurant, but even the noisy parties didn’t get in the way at all. Recommend

Park-hotel “Mountain” can rightly be considered one of the best in the region. Not so long ago it was repaired. All rooms are equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, air conditioning. It offers wonderful views of the mountains.

On the territory of the hotel there are also two cozy chalets:
- Six-bed cottage with three bedrooms is located at the foot of the mountain. Each room has a private bathroom. In addition, all bedrooms are equipped with widescreen TVs. A common living room with fireplace is combined with a kitchen.
- The chalet, designed for eight people, has four cozy bedrooms. Each of them has a separate bathroom with a bath. In addition, on 250 m² there is a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen and a children’s room. The bathroom on the ground floor has a Jacuzzi with panoramic windows.

Nicholas: Only positive emotions. Rested from 12 to 15 February. Cleanliness everywhere. Took a double room, facilities on the floor. The room is clean, everything works, and then you know, the batteries in the remote sat down, then with the adapter cords problems, then the window is lax. Water from the tap flows clean, you can drink. On the floor there are two showers and two toilets, 6 rooms. Enough is enough. There is never a queue! They are clean, everything you need is there. Mirrors are everywhere, there are a lot of hooks, and in the toilet and in the shower, and then you know, sometimes you go, there is a towel to hang, and you already have to look for panties. Hair dryer, freshener, plumbing expensive, new looks. Hot water is always there and does not end with good pressure. Soundproofing of course in the rooms is low, but this is compensated by other advantages. The location, though not on the mountain itself, but still convenient, to the ascent to go 5-10 minutes There is a lift and at hand, but it is quite for beginners. Opposite across the street is a nightclub, a hookah café. In the park there is a sauna on firewood. What was especially pleasing was that the ear was suspended with water and a rope for pouring after the steam room. 1000 rubles per hour, at least two hours. Everyone walks around the hotel in socks, shoes are removed at the entrance – that’s how clean it is.
Meals and restaurants
One of the chalets at the hotel has a restaurant with a brewery. In the morning, breakfast is served here for all hotel guests. Guests can choose between a buffet or a continental breakfast. As children under 5 years old can stay free of charge, breakfast is not provided for them. In this case, parents should take care of this in advance, informing the information upon arrival at the hotel.
At lunchtime and in the evening, guests of the restaurant can use the menu and order a delicious steak, knuckle or filet mignon. The chef also took care of the fish lovers. Here you can try Siberian pike and Baikal grayling. The pride of the restaurant is its own brewery, where beer is created according to the Czech open fermentation technology.
In the evenings, the hotel’s restaurant offers live entertainment. There is also a karaoke bar. Guests can order a hookah. The restaurant accepts orders for events.
Leisure and entertainment
The ski resort includes 15 slopes of varying complexity and length. The longest is Panorama, whose length is 5 km. Along the trails there are cafes, workshops, toilets. There is a rescue service. This year it is planned to open another track.
The ski area in Sheregesh is organized on four mountain peaks: Green, Mustag, Kurgan and Utuya. On their slopes there are 21 lifts: rope tows, gondola and chairlifts. Some of the plots are reserved for fans of freeriding. The thickness of the snow in some places reaches 4 meters. The beginning of the winter season in Sheregesh begins at the end of November and lasts until May.
Note! Evening skiing takes place on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as during the New Year holidays.
For beginners at the resort there are three sites. However, these are not separate tracks, namely their lower sections:
- The lower section of Route 7 (Sky Way). Has a minimum slope from all tracks. Available only for skiers.
- Track 5 (Cascade 2000) has an average slope, and is suitable for both skiers and snowboarders. One of the most popular trails in the resort.
- Track 15 (Cascade 3000) is suitable for those who feel still insecure on skis or on a board. It has a maximum slope. The length of the site is 1200 meters.
Cross-country skiing
Guests of the resort can also go cross-country skiing. The track is located near the ski lift Number 6. The landmark is the gandol-chairlift Panorama. To the left of it, down the slope is a technological road for snow groomers. It is she who serves as a track for cross-country skiing. To complete the entire route you will need 1-1.5 hours.
Recreational opportunities for children
Park HotelGornywelcomes guests of all ages. Kids up to 5 years old can live for free, but without food. For children 5-12 years old there are discounts on accommodation. If necessary, an extra bed can be placed in the room. It is better to inform about this in advance.
The administrative chalet has a children’s room. Babysitting services are available free of charge. There are experienced teachers who easily find a common language with children of any age. Children can play and socialize. From time to time, teachers organize creative master classes. The hotel also has a climbing wall, which is accessible not only to adults but also to children. Trainings are held under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Children can work out individually or as part of a small group.
On the training slopes there are instructors who teach children to ski and snowboard. Training takes place every day. New students can join at any time. Even if your child does not yet have his own board or skis with boots, you can rent everything you need. Rental offices offer not only equipment, but also glasses, gloves, jackets and overalls.
In their free time from training, children can ride on rubber “vatrushka”. Several sections are equipped with special safe routes. This is the slope in sector E at the Snow Hotel and at the Bear Camp Site.

Eveni Park is one of the most popular places for children’s entertainment on Sheregesh. In this unusual place, which really resembles a snow-covered cave, quests and master classes are held. Children can learn to draw with sand, make a magic amulet, play musical instruments and dance. The park employs animators and professional teachers of additional education.
Excursions and attractions
Snowmobile track
It begins at the camp site “Bear” and goes towards the station Winter Fairy Tale. You can ride on it on your own or as part of an excursion group. The route passes through the picturesque places of Mountain Shoria. You can see the valley of the Mundybash River. And also admire the expanses from the mountains Kurgan and Green.
Azas Cave
A three-hour excursion with a visit to the Shor National Park begins in the village of Ust-Kabyrza. The route with a length of 40 km passes through the rock massif “Karchitsky Castle”. The tour is conducted by an experienced guide. All the way the participants overcome on snowmobiles.
Paragliding
Thrill seekers can fly on a paraplun. Entertainment is available for adults only. A prerequisite is the briefing, which takes place right before the flight. The air walk passes over Mount Green, in sectors A and E. The flight is accompanied by an experienced instructor and recorded on GoPro. Time in the air: 10 minutes.
Freeride tours to North Mustag
Skiing is organized on the slopes of the Big Taz valley, near the Podpykhtun ridge and in the Viktoryevka valley. Elevation difference: 200-740 meters, slopes vary from 15º to 30º. The routes pass both through the wide fields of the Sheregesh forest, and through difficult areas with a large number of dropouts. Tour participants can make up to 12 descents. The price includes a hot lunch, escort of guides, transfer, equipment.
Helicopter tour
It starts at the foot of Mount Green. The helicopter flies through the pustag and Kurgan mountains. Participants of the tour will see some of the most picturesque places of Tashtagol district. One of these places is the Worship Cross, which is located at an altitude of 1560 meters. If desired, you can make a stop here.
Several programs are available:
- Sightseeing tour with delivery of freeriders to distant slopes;
- Two-hour excursion to Mount Belukha;
- Teletskoye Lake, Uchar Waterfall, Stone Mushrooms.
