Morzine Hotels in France

Morzine is a fairly large resort that is popular in both summer and winter. The village, more like a city, is located on both sides of the river, with the center on the western side, at the foot of the local slopes. At the other end of the settlement is a gondola connecting to a chain of elevators leading to Avoryaz on the Portes du Soleil highway.

The resort consists of chalet-style buildings whose roofs sparkle with snow, forming a landscape with a postcard. Morzine is a family resort, despite the abundance of bars, it is quiet and peaceful.

It is best to stay in the city center or near the ski lift. There are many restaurants and public institutions, and it is easier to get to the slopes.

A multi-route bus service connects all parts of the city with the ski lifts, including Avoriaz. There are also buses to Le Gaieux and to Ardent, where there is a gondola to Portes du Soleil, skipping the busy Avoryaz.

The local peaks are not very high, but the view of Mont Blanc is very impressive. The trails from Pointe de Nyon and Chamoscière are quite challenging, as are the black tracks down the back of Mont Cheri and The Blacks’ Ots Forts in Avoriasi. In bad weather, you can go to the slightly forested slope of Ranfoyli.

Morzine is very popular because of its extensive slopes, proximity to the landscaped parks of Avoriaza and lower prices. Many trails with trees create picturesque and interesting conditions for snowboarding. Morzine is also great for families. On the mountain there are gentle protected slopes for beginners and children, playgrounds for kids.
