Отель Меркури Красная Поляна

Among the many hotels in Krasnaya Polyana, the Mercury Rosa Khutor hotel stands out for its calm, almost homely atmosphere with traditionally high service for the Mercure network. Proximity to the main slopes, a good restaurant, reasonable prices and magnificent views of the Caucasus Mountains will interest not only ski lovers, but also travelers with children.

A bit of history and geography

The Mercure Rosa Khutor Hotel opened its doors to its first guests in the spring of 2013 as part of the grand preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Despite the excitement and battles for literally every square meter, the place managed to get a successful one – in Esto-Sadka,on the lower base of the Rosa Khutor ski resort, near the lifts “Tyrol” and “Strela”. According to guest reviews, the way to them takes 5-6 minutes, but if you take a selfie along the way, then all 10.

Tip: buy ski passes in the hotel, it will greatly simplify life, especially in high season.

600 meters above sea level is not much, but not enough: in winter in Esto-Sadka there is no piercing sea wind, and in summer – drying heat. The average temperature in January is from 2 to 3 degrees, but the weather is relatively mild, ideal for a ski holiday.

Hotel Mercure Rosa Khutor provides much more than a service for four “stars”, as it is part of an international hotel chain and works according to international standards. Taking into account the local specifics, but mostly this is manifested in the staff who speak Russian, and in the menu.

The pride of the hotel – views from the windows of the rooms

The advantage of a good hotel in a relaxing environment. And what could be more soothing than grandiose views of the Caucasus Mountains, the Mzymta River or the Rosa Khutor resort sparkling in the rays of the sun? Judging by the reviews, nothing.

Olga, 32 years old, Moscow: For the first time in Mercure Rosa Khutor I got quite by accident. It was January, the high season… But suddenly someone refused the armor, I decided that fate, and was on the fifth floor with a view from the window of the fairy tale. For a whole week I just looked out the window, breathed, walked in the evenings and did not think about anything. She returned to Moscow as a different person. Everything suddenly became easier, and people somehow … Improved. Now I go to this hotel twice a year, I unload negativity there.

Proven: the view from the window Mercure Rosa Khutor has a healing effect!

In total, the hotel has 153 rooms located on six floors. Wood, fur and pleasant muted shades with rare color accents: the organization of living space and the design of rooms are a feature of the Mercure network. The aesthetics of eclectic modernism and light quotes of traditional Russian life create a cozy living space and do not load the mind, give it a break from impressions. Some rooms are equipped for the needs of people with limited mobility and people with disabilities.

Numbers come in several trim levels:

  1. Standard with double bed and sofa bed;
  2. Privilege with a double bed and a sofa bed;
  3. Privilege with two single beds;
  4. Suites.

Elegant rooms of category “Standard” are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including climate control, comfortable work desk, TV, refrigerator, safe and mini-bar. Spacious suites of the category “Privilege” are made in a soothing warm range with impeccable taste, not overloaded with details.

Interesting things about food, wine and more

Directly in the hotel there is an excellent restaurant BARSKY STOL, which specializes in regional (with elements of Russian, Ukrainian, Mediterranean) cuisine. In the morning, for breakfast, an excellent buffet is served, but some guests get up late, so they prefer to make orders directly at the restaurant.

Lunches are served from 11 to 17 and dinner from 17 to 23. These are just landmarks, not dogma: the staff will always meet the starving skier.

Secrets of the Lobby Bar

For midnighters there is a round-the-clock lobby bar with a cozy fireplace, draught beer and a good selection of cocktails. In fine weather, you can sit on the open veranda and enjoy the marvelous views. But he’s not just loved for that.

The bar delights guests with an exclusive collection of Grands Vins Mercure wines, which in many ways has become the hallmark of the hotel chain. Real specialists work on the wine list, it is adjusted and supplemented depending on the harvest and season.

Note! Since 1985, each hotel of the chain has been working with a specially trained person – an oenologist who will tell you which wine to choose and what to combine it with. And, of course, will tell a lot of interesting things about the culture of winemaking and wine drinking.

The entire Sochi agglomeration in general and Mercure Rosa Khutor in particular are created to make it convenient, fun and safe for those who came to relax. Absolutely all services are set up to give the guest exactly the rest that he needs. Sochi is an all-season resort because it is universal as a place of rest.

But still, people go to Krasnaya Polyana to ski. And here all conditions are created for this, the Mercure Rosa Khutor hotel offers ski rental and equipment, a ski storage facility, you can buy all kinds of ski passes to the slopes. The main advantage of the hotel is the proximity to the main ski lifts of Krasnaya Polyana and its iconic complexes, Gazprom, Gorki Gorod and Rosa Khutor proper.

Some skiers consider Rosa Khutor one of the best ski resorts on the continent, which means a lot:

  • 102 kilometers of tracks of different levels of difficulty from green to black;
  • 28 lifts;
  • 180 days of ski season;
  • 3 tracks with artificial snowmaking.

Thanks to the very convenient location of Mercury Rosa Khutor, guests can easily and simply get to the best routes of Krasnaya Polyana.

Olympia

If you walk quite a bit from the hotel to Mzymta Square, there you can take the lift “Olympia”, which will take the skier to the “Rosa Plateau” and the slopes of medium difficulty. The height difference is 610 meters, and the total length of the ascent is more than 2300 meters! If this seems not enough for someone, you can change to the next cable car and climb to the most difficult black tracks and mogul.

Alpika

Less than a kilometre from the hotel is the Slope of Alpica, which is connected to the Laura complex by the world’s longest cable car type 3S. Both slopes are part of the Gazprom ski resort. Gazprom in general seriously took up skiing and opened many worthy trails. Plus, of course, “NeProstoBanya” – a bath at an altitude of 2256 meters above sea level, which must be visited at least because it is listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Mountain carousel

Not for beginners! On the slopes of Aigba there is a truly sports ski complex “Mountain Carousel”, where you can both learn to ride and hone your skills. It is said that there are simply no better views than on the Black Pyramid. You can have a snack in a restaurant at an altitude of 2200. It’s called “2200.”

Having rolled in, having received new impressions, it’s time to relax. Mercury Rosa Khutor has a stunning wellness center that will restore the body and relax the soul. The hot hammam will warm up to the bone, and then you can visit the all-season indoor pool, to which guests are free.

In between descents from the mountains, you can visit the gym, equipped with the latest technology – simulator equipment, of course.

Skypark

If you are tired of skiing, you can switch to ropes and visit the sky Park, which is unique for Russia:

  • SochiSwing – swing with free fall at an altitude of 170 meters;
  • the longest suspension bridge in Russia (Skybridge, 439 meters);
  • jump on Bungy – the highest bungee in the country;
  • riding on a roller cable car Megatroll at a speed of 120 km / h.

Such entertainment is so unforgettable that you want to repeat them, and more than once.

Penguin Skating Rink

Not far from the hotel there is an indoor skating rink with a rental of skates and equipment. It is designed mainly for family holidays, but you can have a good time with friends or a loved one.

And if you come with children?

A significant part of the hotel guests come with children – and it’s wonderful! The Mercure hotel chain does everything to make their stay exceptionally profitable and comfortable. Children under 6 years old stay and receive breakfast for free, in the summer in the spa center of the hotel for them there are animators and educators.

Standard and Privilege rooms (with double beds) are equipped with a pull-out sofa bed, which is suitable for a child up to 12 years old. And for a comfortable night’s sleep, very young guests – up to two years old – are given a crib on request.

In the restaurant BARSKY STOL there is a children’s menu, which will appeal to even the most capricious fastiest. Especially good are children’s breakfasts, which, along with the usual muesli, cereals and casseroles, include:

  • soft cheesecakes with jam and blueberries;
  • mousxes with fruit slices;
  • cottage cheese mousse with berries;
  • pate with jelly.

For lunch, guests praise chicken soup with noodles, cutlets and pasta: skiing in the fresh air, children cope with a full portion, and they are huge in BARSKY STOL.

Tip:For the little ones, ask for a high chair, napkins and special appliances.

On skis will put “Egorka”

Not everyone who comes to Krasnaya Polyana is a noble skier. This is especially true for preschoolers. But parents do not need to spend precious hours of vacation pumping pedagogical talent – at the Mercure Rosa Khutor hotel there is a children’s club “Egorka”, which has ski courses for kids. Coaches guarantee that everyone will go: impressionable princesses, and restless hooligans.

Parents do not need to make additional efforts, it is enough just to dress the child warmer. All the equipment will be selected by the coach, he will also teach the child to use it. Classes are held on a slope specially equipped for children with a safe fence.

It’s interesting! During the high season, the resort of Rosa Khutor hosts various children’s tournaments in winter sports. They will be an excellent motivation for the baby. Admission for spectators is free.

What to see: tips from experienced

After the 2014 Olympics, Krasnaya Polyana and rosa Khutor resort are a landmark in themselves. How can you come to where world-class competitions were held (and are!) held, and not see everything? Not to be photographed against the background of the famous Town Hall, not to go to the Museum of Archaeology? Especially from the hotel to them to go less than three minutes.

But if the ideas are over, you can ask for advice from a specialist: Mercure Rosa Khutor has a tourism consultant who will tell you where it is most interesting to go, help form routes or recommend ready-made excursions.

The most popular routes are:

  1. Rosa Peak (2320 m) and Stone Pillar (2509 m), the highest and most spectacular mountain peaks of Krasnaya Polyana.
  2. The waterfalls of “Mendelicha”, amazingly beautiful in summer, stunning in autumn and magical in winter, when they freeze and shimmer in the sun.
  3. Ethnocenter “My Russia” should be visited at least because there … very interesting. Russia in miniature, and the tour itself is beyond praise.

Connoisseurs also recommend to see the Casino in the gambling zone, go to the most favorite tavern of tourists “Triconi” and be sure to fly on a paraglider.

The main ski resort of the country Krasnaya Polyana is the absolute leader of the tourist aspirations of Russians, and it will only become more popular. However, in order for the holiday to be successful, you need to choose the right hotel, and Mercury Rosa Khutor is the best option for everyone who appreciates comfort, is demanding of quality and wants to remain in the center of attention.
