The railway line “Adler – Rosa Khutor” passes through the station“Esto Sadok”. The village is one of the centers of the ski resort with developed infrastructure. On its territory there are 11 lifts that raise tourists and athletes to a height of 535 to 2,172 meters above sea level. Almost all hotels located in the village are designed to receive vacationers who prefer active leisure activities. There are fashionable 5-star hotel complexes and budget hostels. Local guest houses are trying to combine cheap prices for accommodation with comfortable accommodation conditions for guests. Sometimes the owners succeed. Location and history
Guest House Berezka Esto Sadok is located 3 kilometers from the train station. Adler Airport is 42 km away. Upon prior request, the hotel can facilitate and book a private shuttle service to/from both stations. For travelers arriving on their own, free parking spaces are provided. Conditions – to warn in advance about the availability of the car and become a guest of the hotel “Berezka”. The administration is reluctant to accept guests with pets, but goes to meet the owners of dwarf dog breeds. Cats are not inhabited.
Berezovaya Street, on which this 2-star hotel is built, is half a kilometer from the village centre. It’s only a 5-7 minute walk. This quiet street has long been chosen by representatives of the hospitality sector, so there are many other hotels, as well as restaurants, cafes and shops. The price includes a transfer from / to the ski lifts, drying and storage of ski equipment, internet, beach equipment. Smoking is strictly forbidden on site. This is a non-smoking hotel.
Meals and restaurants
On the ground floor there is a round-the-clock lobby bar. Snacks and drinks are available. Guests note a diverse range of dishes and a cozy atmosphere. For low prices and a large selection, this bar is sometimes called the dining room. Round-the-clock operation allows guests not to think about dinner even at the latest time.
There are many other catering outlets in the area. The closest are:
- café-bar “Oven” (300 meters) – European, Caucasian, Russian cuisine, breakfasts, business lunch, food delivery. There is a summer veranda on site. The café specializes in the production of fast food. Fast service and delicious food are the main advantages of this institution;
- restaurant of Uzbek cuisine “PAPA PLOV” is located half a kilometer from the guest house “Berezka”. Prices in it are above average, but large portions fully compensate for these overpayments. Here they prepare the famous Uzbek pilaf, bake samsa, serve lagman. Also on the menu are other national dishes: shurpa, kebab, flatbreads;
- Restaurant “Kazan” (600 meters) offers to eat in an exquisite interior, made in the style of a mountain chalet. The building has 2 floors, dining and banquet halls. Despite the eastern name, the chef mainly prepares dishes of European cuisine. Special emphasis is placed on Mediterranean and French cuisine. The menu has many seafood dishes, and a large aquarium is installed in the hall.
Guests can arrange meals themselves by shopping at the nearest grocery stores. They always have the option to reheat ready-made food in the microwave and boil water for morning/evening tea. The lobby bar is ready to provide a comprehensive meal at any time of the day for a fixed price. You can ask the reception for barbecue facilities and go to a specially equipped area to make barbecues.
Leisure and entertainment
The main type of recreation are the ski slopes. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to the cable cars. The nearest ski lift is at a distance of 850 meters (“Mountain Carousel”). It can be reached on foot. At a distance of a little more than a kilometer there are lifts “Laura” (1.1 km) and “Rosa Khutor” (1.5 km). They raise tourists to the main slopes of the ski resort Krasnaya Polyana. Ski passes at discounted prices can be purchased from the hotel administrator.
“Mountain Carousel” is a sports and tourist complex, to which the cable car of the same year leads. Those wishing to visit the slopes of the complex should take into account that the lift begins work at 09.00, ends at 15.00. In winter, there is a ride on the illuminated tracks, so the road reopens at 18.30 and works until 23.00. Pet owners must carry animals in carriers. Near the ticket office there is a café, a children’s playground, there is a free toilet. From the cable car “Mountain Carousel” you can change to the road “Circus-2” to climb to the peak of the Black Pyramid.
36 slopes are equipped for skiing, of which:
- blue – 11;
- green – 2;
- red – 14;
- black – 5;
- for freeride – 4.
The lower tracks are located at an altitude of 960 meters, complex at an altitude of 2340 meters, illuminated – 1500 m. The infrastructure of the STK is well developed. There are restaurants, there are hotel complexes, ski schools, instructor service, ski equipment rental.
The lift “Laura” will take you to the ski and biathlon stadium, built at the expense of GAZprom. It is located at an altitude of 1450 meters. There are 2 ski areas at once – Laura and Alpika. They consist of 35 tracks of different levels of difficulty. There are 12 illuminated trails open for the evening ski promenade. Laura is ideal for beginners who want to master the ski slopes. The tracks are very comfortable in width (up to 66 meters) and safety. At the mountain shelters “Fir Glade” (1500 m) and “Psekhako” there are children’s ski schools. Professional instructors work everywhere. Laura is the only high-altitude place in the resort where cross-country skiers can go.
“Rosa Khutor” will take those who wish to the ski resort of the same name, where anyone will find something to their liking. For skiing, 102 kilometers have been developed for trails of different levels of complexity. In addition to skiing, there are toboggan runs (toboggan) and the attraction “Rodelbahn”. The Penguin Skating Rink provides ice fields for figure skating, hockey or curling. You can recover from skiing and sports games in the Miofascional Center. Instructors will conduct classes on safe relaxation of muscles and relinage of tension in them. And, if there was not enough speed on the slopes, then the resort has an indoor kart tracks. Here they will teach you how to sculpt from plasticine, make dolls from papier-mâché, sew clothes for them, draw with vintage paints, create three-dimensional paintings.
