Hotel “Corinthia” is located near the Moskovsky railway station of St. Petersburg in a historic building on Nevsky Prospekt, 57. Near three metro stations: “Mayakovskaya”, “Ploshchad Vosstaniya” and “Vladimirskaya”. “Corinthia” is equipped in the style of European hotels of premium class. Instead of a spa, there is only a fitness club and a sauna. One of the features: in the rooms of the class “Executive” the price includes a visit to the “executive living room” with free snacks and drinks (including alcohol). Tourists in this place will find comfortable rooms, delicious food, elegant interiors of the lobby and common spaces. Chic lobby of the hotel in the style of “lounge”: bell-boys in white gloves, well-worn waiters, Indians with laptops and young girls in mini-dresses. Atmospheric! The staff is fluent in English, delivers food to the room, is friendly and ready to solve any issues that arise. In the building of the hotel there is an office of VTB Bank and Sberbank, a Starbucks coffee shop with good breakfasts. The location is perfect – everything you need is within walking distance, including famous sights and museums.
PrincessR writes a review: “of the pros: the bed linen was beautiful! Very comfortable pillows and mattress, I had a great night’s sleep. Pleased and blackout curtains. Beautiful lighting, in the bathroom bidet – also a plus. Kettle for 2 cups, 4 tea bags, instant coffee and white sugar. Hmm… Okay, let’s have a drink at breakfast. I went down to the restaurant, I went to mix on the buffet. I liked it: there are flax seeds, nuts, dried fruits, jams and pastries. The mint tea was delicious. Breakfast was nice. Overall, I feel like 4 stars.
Standard and luxury in the historic center
Rooms in “Corinthia” can be divided into three categories: standards for business trips, apartments with free use of the executive living room and spacious suites with an author’s design. The price of any room includes a choice of pillows, access to the fitness center with men’s and women’s saunas, free wi-fi.
The standard area of 25 m2 is designed to accommodate two people. Children under 6 years old stay free of charge without a separate bed. Rooms of this category are made in pastel colors with a view of the courtyard from the window. Large bed or two single beds to choose from, opposite the LED TV with cable channels. There is a cosmetic set, a paid mini-bar, a safe and a hairdryer. Deluxe is no different from the standard, except perhaps a slightly larger area (27 m2). Grand Deluxe area of 31 m2 has a window and door with access to the balcony, from where the panorama of the city center is observed. Also in this type of room you can add a bed (2500r per night) and stay three.
Executive room of 30 m2 will satisfy the most demanding guest. More expensive finishing materials and furniture are used, a bathroom with a shower and a bath is decorated with marble. Free use of the Executive Lounge is included, where drinks and snacks are available all day (alcohol from 12:30 to 22:00). Breakfast is a choice: in the living room or restaurant. From the gadgets in the room is added capsule coffee machine.
Mila E writes a review: “upon arrival, we were treated to welcome drinks. We booked a executive room, so we had access to the VIP lounge. There was quite a large selection of desserts, drinks, snacks – all complimentary. Such a bonus in other hotels has not yet been met. The staff are courteous and polite, everything was nice.”
Junior Deluxe Suite of 40 m2 has a bedroom and living room with work space, access to the executive living room. Designed to accommodate 2-3 people.
Suites of 45 m2 come with views of both the courtyard and the beautiful city panorama. Junior Suite with a terrace of 45 m2 in addition to the bedroom and living room includes a terrace and a marble bathroom. Nevsky Suite with an area of 65 m2 has a view of the avenue and the design finish. The author’s suite in addition to the luxurious interior has a collection of books on art and a panoramic view of the avenue. Carpets, lighting, décor items and elite finishing materials are selected by the designer for specially ordered furniture of imported production.
The Presidential Suite of 125 m2 is a real work of art with custom furnishings according to individual sketches. There are two bedrooms, an equipped kitchen for a personal chef, a balcony with panoramic views, a bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Real paintings hang on the walls.
The Executive Lounge is available to residents of rooms of a certain level of comfort or higher. This is a room in the style of a lobby bar with beautiful finishes, soft sofas and armchairs. It offers free house wine, beer, tea, coffee and soft drinks. They serve lunch (12:00-16:30) and evening snacks (17:00-19:30). There are even night canapés (19:30-22:00). There are two personal computers, meeting tables, a large LED TV.
Restaurant meals
Breakfasts included in the price of accommodation are the hallmark of any hotel, because they are remembered for a long time. In “Corinthia” they are satisfied at the highest level. Separately, it should be noted attention to detail and requests of guests. If you take chicken eggs, they can be cooked in the form of an omelet, scrambled eggs, chatter and even poached. If porridge, then on milk or water, sweet or salty. A choice of hot sausages, hashbrun, fried bacon, beans or mushrooms is served. In the form of cutting there are fresh fruits, vegetables, sausages, cheeses. Cottage cheese and yogurts, cereals and snacks. Herring with potatoes and red onions. Hot drink to choose from. Desserts are dominated by croissants, chocolate rolls and Danish pastries. And for real aristocrats, champagne with red caviar is served on request. Freshly squeezed juice and fish are also brought on demand. All dishes look appetizing and aesthetically pleasing, prepared by the chefs of the restaurant from high-quality selected products.
Irina Smolnaya writes a review: she lived in a two-room suite for 4 days. Service at the level: quickly brought food and drinks, cleaning was every day. The lounge bar on the 4th floor is above all praise. For breakfast, the cook pampers porridge with berries, omelets, fruits. There are always fruit fresh. Three times went to St. Petersburg and always lived in “Corinthia”.
Restaurant “Imperial” is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel and is positioned as an elite institution with Russian cuisine in a new version and with unusual ingredients. However, from traditional Russian cuisine in the menu you can find only a few dishes: beef stroganes, dumplings, borscht. There is Italian pasta in different variations and salad “Caprese”. A little bit of fast food in the restaurant processing: burger, club sandwiches. And of course the popular marble beef steaks. The price tag corresponds to the city center and the pathos of the institution – the average bill is 1500-2000r without drinks. A glass of wine will cost 500-700r, and cappuccino 320p. The interior of the hall is made in a strict modern style with expensive furniture and panoramic windows overlooking Nevsky Prospekt. In the evenings, there is a pleasant chamber atmosphere with dim lights.
The lobby bar on the 1st floor has an extensive selection of strong and refreshing drinks. Famous and branded cocktails – 700-900r. For example, “Nevsky punch”: white rum, raspberry puree, black currant liqueur, lemon juice and Russian sparkling wine. Branded teas with sea buckthorn, strawberries, fruits – 500p. Coffee beans with additives – 280-550r. Large selection of elite alcohol in bottling at high prices. All drinks and meals are delivered to the room by the room staff and include the cost in the final bill. The bar has a cozy atmosphere, in the evening you can sit comfortably by the fireplace, drink something hot and smoke a cigar. In the café “Vienna”throughout the day you can have a snack with delicious desserts from the chef and drink coffee.
It is worth adding that next to the hotel within a radius of 500 meters there are dozens of restaurants, pubs, cafes and drinking establishments for every taste and purse.
Fitness center, sauna and other services
As mentioned above, there is no spa here, unlike the European hotels of the Corinthia chain. But the fitness center on the 8th floor after a visit leaves the most positive memories. First, a large number of modern simulators of the company “Technogym”. Secondly, a small number of visitors – it is really spacious and free. Panoramic windows with a beautiful view complete the picture. Another advantage is that saunas are divided into male and female. There are showers and changing rooms. But there is no swimming pool and jacuzzi.
Here on the eighth floor there is an exit to the terrace with a beautiful view of the bell tower of the Vladimir Cathedral. This is a favorite place for selfies.
Other servicesthat are available for guests:
- dry cleaning and laundry;
- booking a limousine, transfer, sightseeing tour;
- paid parking on the territory of the complex;
- conference hall and meeting rooms for business meetings.
Prices for parking, limousines, personal porter and excursions are biting. Designed for wealthy guests from abroad, since our people in St. Petersburg do not ride limousines.
Evgeny Dobrov writes a review: “If you come to the city on a business trip, to a conference or visit the sights, then Corinthia is quite suitable. Pros: location in the city center, varied breakfast, executive living room. The rooms are normal, comfortable, but outdated. But as a congress center – out of competition. No wonder every year he takes first place in this nomination. Banquet service here is at a high level. Conferences, weddings, corporate evenings are perfect.”
