The resort is located near the Mekong River. Guests are welcomed at Chiang Rai Airport, a 90-minute drive away, and a shuttle service is included in the price. You can get here only by boat, and the first contact with the hotel takes place in a bamboo hut under the open sky. Here, guests are obliged to call three times in a large traditional gong: once for good luck, once for health and once for wealth.

After the ceremonial entrance, guests climb the stairs to the Mai Pai Lao Lounge, which serves as both a bar and a lobby. The room stock is made up of 15 huts, and the atmosphere here is quiet and intimate.
