Adelboden hosts one of the stages of the Alpine Skiing World Cup. The resort is located near the village of the same name in the canton of Bern at the foot of the Wildstrubel mountain. Its height is 3000 meters. The ski season begins in mid-December and lasts until early May. 78 slopes are served by 57 lifts. The tracks are divided into 4 levels of difficulty. Additionally equipped slopes for carving, snowboarding, toboggan runs. There is a children’s snow park. Adelboden hotels are designed for different categories of visitors. Guesthouse Alive
In July 2017, couple Sarah and Knut Kursav bought an old chalet at the foot of the Alps. After renovation, one of Adelboden’s most hospitable guesthouses, Guesthouse Alive,has opened here. For guests prepared 23 beds of different price categories. The owners equipped a recreation room so that there was a place to spend time in inclement weather, made a gym, put an infrared sauna. Guests are offered physiotherapy services, sports massage. Sarah worked as a sports physiotherapist with a team of British athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Knut has long been a coach for people with disabilities. Both are fluent in English. In the morning, a Swedish breakfast is served at the hotel. The local restaurant Schönbühl is nearby.

Adler Adelboden
The Alpine chalet Adler Adelbodenis 100 metres from the gondola lifts. The place is popular thanks to the restaurant of exquisite Swiss cuisine. The skill of the chef can be appreciated already during breakfast. It is served according to the Swedish system and consists of a minimum of 5 dishes. The menu changes depending on the season and the appearance of fresh fruits and vegetables. After breakfast, guests can enjoy the ski slopes. Public transport is included in the price. Guests can spend the rest of the day in the relaxing atmosphere of the spa, take a Kneipp bath or jacuzzi, play billiards or tennis. For children there is a separate play area.

Wildstrubel Lodge
This Alpine chalet welcomes guests year-round. In summer, Wildstrubel Lodge is an ideal starting point for hiking and cycling trails. In winter, a cross-country ski run starts from the doorstep and the Chuenisbärgli chair lift (Adelboden-Lenk Ski Area) is a 3-minute walk away. Next to the hotel there is a ski school for beginners. The Lodge Bistro is open Wednesday through Sunday. Breakfast is served in the morning, followed by an à la carte kitchen. Guests can relax on the terrace.

This comfortable apartment is located in the heart of Adelboden. A panoramic view opens from the windows. In particular, the track of the World Cup in giant slalom is perfectly visible. Near the house there are two lifts at once: TheChentenbahn and the Dorfbahn, which is directly connected to another lift called the Sillerenbahn. Parking is private, it is possible to pay (12 Swiss francs per day). The number of rooms is designed for two, but there are also family rooms. Each apartment has a kitchenette. A couple of steps from the house is a supermarket Coop.

Chalet Grneggli is located in a chalet near the centre of the resort. The nearest ski lift is 800 metres away. Separate apartments with two bedrooms and a living room are prepared for guests. The kitchen is fully equipped. In summer, the owner opens the sun terrace. There is a barbecue area in the courtyard. Water sports equipment can be rented here. If you want to have a good rest and dinner in the evening, then there are several restaurants a couple of kilometers from the house. The nearest supermarket Bäckerei und Lebensmittel Oester is within walking distance.

Huuswurz
Apartmentsconsisting of 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen with dining area – not the most expensive place in the resort. The hosts took care of the guests by setting up an ATM to withdraw cash, setting up a children’s playground. There is a sports equipment rental room, a ski storage room. Many hotels in Adelboden are not allowed to enter their territory with pets. Huuswurz is a nice exception to these rules. Parking is free.

For those who are looking for a simple overnight stay without frills and additional services, Hari Apartments is the most normal option. The studio apartments are located in a traditional Alpine chalet. There is a balcony, a kitchenette and public parking near the house. With animals here it is impossible, but there are equipped places for smoking. Ski Lift Adelboden – Sillerenbühl is 300 metres away. To the center – 400 m.

The apartments are located 300 metres from Adelboden Train Station and at the intersection of ski, hiking and cycling routes. The city centre is a 5-minute drive away. The owner’s name is Christoph Inniger. It offers a choice of two apartments with thematic design. One is made in the style of an Alpine chalet,the second has a romantic name “Mountain View”. Both apartments have 2 bedrooms, a bright living room and an equipped kitchen. At the request of guests, the neighboring baker will deliver hot buns by the appointed hour. In the yard there is a barbecue area, there is a children’s playground, a small garden. Parking is free.
