In the building of the brewery, opened in 1466 by Jan Medvidka, today there is a comfortable three-star hotel U Medvidku-Brewery Hotel. Beer was produced here until 1898, when industrial production supplanted a private brewery. After that, the first Prague cabaret was opened indoors. In the XX century, the building stood abandoned for a long time, and only in 1989 was reconstructed. Next to the historic building is the Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and the National Theatre.
