Champéry is a mountainous area located in the center of the Portes du Soleil resort. The hotels are located at the foot of the hills: Dent du Midi and Dent-Blanche. It is the largest ski area in the world. Guests will enjoy one of the most impressive areas for outdoor activities. Here people conquer the ski slopes, sledding and snowboarding. In summer, they fish, travel with a guide around the area, get acquainted with the local cuisine.
Le White
“Le White” is located on the outskirts of a cozy place called Champéry, on the territory of the famous resort “Port du Soleil”. It is a complex overlooking the majestic Dan du Midi ridge in the Valais canton area. From Geneva International Airport to the hotel an hour and a half by car (59 km). Nearby takes guests to the railway station. Restaurants, cafés and shops can be found within 1 km of the building. 800 m to the cable car and the mountain Croix de Culet. If desired, in winter from the hotel to the ski lift tourists can take a free bus.
Delicious breakfast and lunch with local produce
Continental and Swedish breakfasts are available. Visitors are pleased with warm pastries, aromatic coffee. Nearest restaurants: Le FarinetLe (300m), Café du Centre (500m).

The complex has family rooms, double rooms and a spacious deluxe with a balcony overlooking the Dan du Midi mountain range.

The hotel is beautifully decorated: wallpaper, mirrors, furniture are tastefully selected. Our room didn’t overlook the mountain, but it was still cozy. Homemade yogurt is served for breakfast. Not far from the complex there are several restaurants, shops within walking distance.
Le Chalet de lAtelier
Le Chalet de l’Atelier is 800 metres from the centre of Champéry and 300 metres from the Croix de Coule, part of the Port du Soleil ski resort. In 1,5 km there is a lift “Grand Paradise”, a little further (1,8 km) waiting for fans of ski track base “Marcheson”.
The rooms of the hotel are made in the style of a country house: wood walls, fur capes on armchairs. The bar is decorated with an improvised pould.
Start the day with homemade jam and farm cheese
Breakfast includes hot bread, homemade jam and cheese made with local produce. On-site restaurant you can get acquainted with national cuisine. Here, visitors will try one of the most popular dishes in Switzerland – “resti”, which is made from potatoes.
We chose hotels with a good location and the absence of animals on the territory. My wife is allergic to dog hair. The complex suited us, they do not accept guests with pets here. We brought our skis, left them in a special room for storing inventory. The hostess is a friendly woman. The rustic-style rooms are so comfortably decorated that sometimes I did not want to go outside.
Hotel National Resort Spa
Hôtel National is just a 5-minute walk from Champéry Train Station. The building was built in 1896 Not far from the complex there are shops, restaurants. It is possible to visit the temple. The thermal pools of Val d’Illiers are 100m from the hotel’s doors. Several ski lifts in the area are waiting for vacationers.
In addition to the usual activities offered by all hotels in Champéry (skiing, cycling), guests will find other activities at Hôtel National. Interesting entertainment in the complex and outside the territory:
- guided walk around the area;
- stand-up comedy;
- themed dinner;
- rock climbing;
- broadcast of matches;
- horseback riding.
The hotel offers bicycle rental and a library. An unusual option for relaxation is swimming in the outdoor pool overlooking the Alps.
We rested in the hotel in winter. Very pleased with the staff, solved any problem, quickly responded to requests. We had breakfast in the room. For dinner, we booked a table at our request in a nearby restaurant, at the beginning of the rest the employee told about interesting routes for walking.
Art Boutique Hotel Beau-Sjour Champry
The hotel awaits guests in the centre of Champéry. A cable car is 2 minutes away. On-site restaurant Le Vieux Chalet, bar. There is a gift shop nearby.
The number of rooms is made in the Alpine style: there is no heap of furniture, simplicity of design. The balcony offers mountain views. The complex is convenient for families with a child. The restaurant offers a children’s menu. There is also a games room. Kids watch cartoons. There are books, board games.
I came with a friend to fish and ride. We walked a lot in the mountains, we came to the room only to sleep. The hotel has its own garden and terrace with views of the Alps, street parking. Breakfast included hot pancakes, fresh cheese, homemade yogurt and scrambled eggs. I liked the wine corner, an interesting idea with self-service.
Hotel Suisse
The atmosphere of peace and privacy is present in the Hotel Suisse,hidden at the foot of the mountains in the center of the resort of Portes du Soleil. The complex has its own winter garden, panoramic windows with a view of the mountain Den do Midi, the Planxo cable car 10 minutes from the doors. Palladium Sports Club is 100 metres away. 500 m to the nearest shop.
A convenient place for training and relaxation
Hotels at the foot of the Alps offer a traditional holiday for these places: skiing, cycling, snowboarding. “Suisse” also gives an opportunity to do something unusual and interesting. Sports and recreation complex:
- windsurfing;
- aerobics;
- evening of live music;
- presentation of the edge;
- golf;
- fishing.
I liked the location of the hotel: the proximity of the cable car, many restaurants in the area. After a sleigh ride, guests can enjoy hot cakes with tea. We arrived for rest early in the morning, the room was ready for our arrival. Employees at other hotels should learn a lot from Suisse staff.
Chalet le Knou
Apartments “Chatel Le Knou” in Champéry is a good place to relax together. Outdoor terrace, garden and stunning views of the summit of Dent du Midi outside the window. Near the chalet (100m) there is a cable car, a supermarket, restaurants. On the contrary is the railway. The centre of the town is 3 minutes from the hotel. To the capital of the Swiss Riviera city of Montreux almost 36 km of the way. A Catholic church is a 5-minute walk away.
The owners of the chalet are hospitable Dani (Swiss) and Leia (British). If necessary, they help guests:
- decide on the route of hiking and cycling,
- provide ski passes;
- give out the necessary equipment for rent.
Trails begin literally on the threshold of the hotel.
Cozy evening in a typical Swiss chalet
2-room apartment consists of a bedroom, kitchen and living room, private bath. In the rooms the style of a country house: wooden floor or parquet, bright bedspreads.
Loved the proximity of the apartment to the cable car. Came out and you’re there. There are many restaurants and shops in the area. There is even a market 10 km away. The garden was the most struck. Well maintained and handsome. Outside the complex there is a lake, fishing lovers are good here: silence and privacy.
Chalet le Grenier – Romantique et exclusif
Chalet Le Grenier – Romantique et exclusif is a paradise for connoisseurs of nature, located on the outskirts of Champéry in the picturesque area of the canton of Valais. Huge terrace overlooking the waterfall, no neighbors and tranquility. A convenient starting point for cyclists and hikers in the surrounding area. Geneva International Airport is 50 km away. Montreux is 39 km from the chalet.
The apartment is equipped with two bedrooms and a living room. Here comfortably can accommodate a family or a company of 4 to 6 people. At the request of the guests, the hostess of the institution will provide local products: wine, meat, as well as raclette – the Swiss national dish.
The hostess of the institution told about all the events that took place at that time in the hotel area. The cable car starts at the door of the house, my family and I were very comfortable. With us for a walk we were offered packed lunches, they rescued us after several descents from the mountain. In the garden there is a barbecue area, in the evening you can cook something outside, admire the hills.

Lifestyle Rooms & Suites by Beau-Séjour enjoys a quiet, secluded location near Crois de Coulais (400 m). Grand Paradise is 2 km from the property. The Planachaux ski lift is 6 km away.

Staying at the hotel,guests will find something to their liking. In the vicinity of the complex, tourists will be able to engage in active recreation in season:
- fishing in Lake Lac Léman;
- descend from the hills on sleighs and skis;
- ride a horse;
- play tennis;

Rested with his wife, for breakfast offered homemade cheeses, jams from local berries. The hotel’s restaurant is closed at this time. It was early June, not the season. But we were not upset, the nearest restaurant is open 100 m from the apartment. There was our acquaintance with the national cuisine of Switzerland.

The Swiss hotel Champéry by Mrs Miggins is located in the heart of Champéry. It is 300 km from the cable car and 650 km from the largest ski resort “Le Porte du Soleil”. With the help of the lift in 5 minutes guests will be at an altitude of 2000 m. The windows of the complex overlook the top of Les Dents du Midi. From Geneva airport to the hotel almost 60 km away.
Some Champéry hotels offer wellness treatments during their holidays. So in the arsenal of “Champéry by Mrs Miggins” there are useful procedures and activities:

It is convenient that there is a transfer to and from the hotel. We arrived with a small child, at the airport we were already waiting. In the room we put a special high chair for feeding the baby. The rooms have good sound insulation, the baby slept peacefully.
Rives Reines B2
Hotel Rives Reines B2 is a modern, spacious apartment at the foot of the mountains in the Champéry area. The resort “Chamonix-Mont-Blanc” is almost 50 km from the complex, the distance to Montreux is about 35 km.

Near the hotel receives visitors beauty salon, around many shops and restaurants. A mini-market is available on site. We found all the necessary products and household items here, there was no need to go somewhere far away.
