The ancient ski resort of Bulgaria Borovets was founded in 1896. It is located at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level. Hotels of the city are able to simultaneously accept up to 10 thousand tourists. The ski slopes of the resort became the venue for the Alpine International Ski Cup, the Biathlon World Championships (1993) and other landmark competitions. The territory consists of three ski areas:
- Matrinovi barracks – Sitnyakovo – the slopes are located at an altitude of 1300 to 1700 meters, one of them is designed for novice skiers, there is a ski school;
- Yastrebets – slopes for the training of professional skiers, altitude 1300-2369 m above sea level;
- Markujik – the highest mountain tracks (2208-2560 m), of 4 – “black”.
The ski season lasts from late November to April. Hotels also accept in the summer, offering hiking trails, mountain bikes and other entertainment.

Infrastructure & Attractions
Initially, the village was laid as one of the residences of the Bulgarian royal family. Here were their hunting grounds, came to rest nobility. Excursion bureaus of Borovets organize tours to the former royal estates: Bistritsa, Sitnyakovo, Sarygel. There are no historical sights in the resort itself.
The total length of the slopes is 60 km, you can add to them an 18-kilometer track for biathletes. The slopes are served by 16 lifts. There are almost no queues. To maintain the level of snow cover, snow cannons are installed. The most popular sections of the slopes have artificial lighting. Do not forget about the resort and snowboarders – 18 tracks in Snowboard Park prepared for them.

There are no problems with placement. Hotels offer rooms and apartments for every taste and budget. In connection with the growing popularity of the resort, new hotels are constantly appearing. Almost all of them are located in the center of the resort or at a short distance from it.
Hotel Alpin
This is not just a hotel complex – it is a real alpine village. It has a main building and several wooden chalets. Double standards, studios and junior suites, as well as entire houses are available for accommodation. Breakfast is served in the morning. On the territory of the hotel there is a restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop, it is possible to order a children’s menu. It offers guests – spa with steam bath, hot tub and massage services, free parking, lift Express Lift Sitnyakovo (50 m).

Rila Hotel Borovets
The modern hotel complex offers family and double rooms of different comfort levels. A gondola lift is 200 metres away. Four-seater Martinovi barracks and Sitnyakovo Express are located 50-100 meters from the entrance. The hotel provides a whole cycle of various services to its guests: spa center, entertainment clubs, restaurants. There is a large indoor swimming pool, a gym with the latest equipment, a bar, ATMs and a currency exchange office. A large hotel provides each of the guests with a free parking space. Also at the disposal of skiers – a room for storing equipment, the opportunity to purchase a subscription to the lifts, book lessons on ski slopes or snowboarding from experienced instructors. Breakfast is served at the Seasons Restaurant via the Swedish line. Another on-site restaurant specialising in international cuisine, Samokovi serves an à la carte menu. Fans of national cuisine can visit the restaurant Bulgare, located a couple of tens of meters from the hotel.

Yanakiev Club Hotel
The new 4-star hotel is surrounded on all sides by a pine forest. Because of this, there is such a special and clean air. Despite the apparent remoteness from the center of the resort, the nearest lift Nearest Ski Run is only a couple of tens of meters. Guests are settled in double rooms (34 rooms), apartments – 6 apartments. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spa services are available for a fee. It features a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. The owners perfectly equipped the gym for fitness classes.

Apart Hotel Flora Residence Daisy
The apart-hotel has rooms for tourists – from singles to large companies. Among his apartments are studios, family rooms,deluxe rooms. Each, except for the bedrooms, is equipped with a mini kitchen and living room. Breakfast is included in the payment of accommodation. The on-site restaurant is à la carte. Nearby is a partner hotel that provides guests with a spa with swimming pool for a fee. The Yastrebets Gondola Lift is 300 metres away.

Borovets Hills Ski & Spa – Half Board
A two-minute walk from the slope of Yastrebets is a comfortable hotel Borovets Hills Ski & Spa – Half Board. The owners organized a regular transfer from / to the ski lift, ski equipment rental (cheaper than on the mountain), a great rest in the evenings, as there are no entertainment venues in the area. The hotel complex is located on the outskirts of the resort. It is surrounded by centuries-old pine trees. There is amazing purity of air and silence. For accommodation we offer: double rooms, junior suites, suites and apartments. In the evening, guests are welcome in the spa, where they have a heated sauna, flooded steam bath, fitness room, swimming pool, hot tub, salt room. While adults are gaining strength, children can play in the children’s room or in the outdoor playground. The classic restaurant “Borovets Hill” is open throughout the day, breakfast is served in the morning.

Hotel Yastrebets Wellness & Spa
Another option for lovers of luxury holidays. The spa hotel is built on the territory of the Rila mountain range – the Yastrebets slope. The restaurant specialises in gourmet cuisine and the bar offers piano music in the evenings. Some rooms have their own Finnish saunas. For all vacationers there is a wellness center. In it you can take exotic water procedures, Kneippa therapy, visit a sauna, a steam bath or laconium (Greek dry bath), order massage, aromatherapy, Ayurvedic procedures and beautician services. The pool area includes an ice fountain, a solarium, a jacuzzi and a well-equipped fitness room. Rooms are located in the main building and the surrounding chalets. Lifts within walking distance.

Hotels in Borovets are not very willing to accept with pets. It is necessary to specify the availability of the service when booking a room.
Flora Hotel – Apartments
The apartment complex receives and accommodates guests around the clock. On-site facilities include 2 restaurants, a lobby bar, 2 swimming pools, and a spa and wellness centre. It offers a summer terrace, free parking, a kindergarten and a ski storage room in winter. Lifts – gondola, “Yastrebets” and “Sitnyakovo” are within walking distance.

Hotel Arena
In the Samokov area near the sports arena is the hotel complex of the same name. It offers twin rooms. For an additional fee, you can use the spa and visit the sauna, fitness room, take a hot tub, swim in the pool. The restaurant with outdoor terrace serves a shared breakfast in the morning, followed by an à la carte menu. Transport goes to the lifts.
“For the second time in the hotel “Arena”. Everything is just fine, just like the first time. Not far from Borovets (8 km), very close to all 3 large markets (local market, Lidl & Billa). 9/10 spa, large swimming pool, 3 saunas and tropical rotors, all open. Jacuzzi is very expensive. Borovete Mountain Luxury
Stylish apartments with a private terrace are 300 metres from the Yastrebec gondola lift and the Martinovi Baraki chairlift. Each apartment has a kitchen and a balcony. Nearby is the market SLS BOROVETS, a little further away – a supermarket Rila. The owners of the hotel offer rental of sports equipment. A ski instructor can be arranged at reception or hiking trails can be arranged. This is a completely new facility, recently built in Borovets. No reviews yet.
Almost all hotels in Borovets are located either near the ski lifts or with organized delivery to the ski slopes. Perhaps the complex Hotel Yastrebets Wellness & Spa will be able to meet all the needs of visitors to the resort in a good rest.
